TFS Tenerife Reina Sofia Airport
Aeropuerto or TFS Airport Reina Sofia, is the busiest airport in Tenerife and the 7th busiest in the whole of Spain. It is located in the South of Tenerife in close proximity to the major resorts of Playa Las Americas and Los Cristianos. It is well connected to the rest of the island as it is close to two main highways the TF1 and TF5.
Although not a luxurious or particularly large airport it still boasts the following amenities - restaurants (Pizza Hut and Burger King, from memory...), bars, shops - gift and duty free, ATMs, a bank, post office, currency exchange facilities.
Getting to and from the airport is quite easy as the taxis are quite reasonably priced if you are travelling to the resorts in the south. If you are venturing to the resorts in the north of Tenerife you might want to get a local bus which takes around an hour and is very well priced and is air conditioned. Car rental companies at Tenerife Sur airport are represented by Hertz, Avis, Europcar and several others.
